Festive Afternoon Tea at Narnia | Lifestyle

There is nothing more magical then a trip to Narnia and a festive afternoon tea, yes you did read that right Narnia. This particular afternoon tea is nothing like I have ever experienced, want to find out more? keep reading you will be blown away!

First things first this afternoon tea was actually unplanned, I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and exactly when it needs to. Walking round Mad Dogs and Englishman soaking up the beautiful homeware and getting all the interior design Inspo, keep in mind this is not your typical homeware shop, it hosts themed afternoon teas, I overheard a lady on the phone saying not to worry I have cancelled this for you but hope to see you soon, me being me asked if there was any availability for the Narnia afternoon tea to my amazement she said yes! (This afternoon tea is sold out and fully booked up until Christmas!) I couldn't believe my ears (#lawofattraction) I booked it there and then!

So let's discuss Narnia, a story about 4 children that travel through a magical wardrobe to the land of Narnia and set out on an adventure with a mystical lion guiding them, this is where the afternoon tea started, you literally walked through a magical wardrobe and into Narnia from snow and sleighs, to twinkling lights and glowing lanterns you were transformed into Narnia.

We were seated by a beautifully frosted antique mirror with a candle lit table with twinkling lights and chairs draped in white faux fur, with Michael Buble´'s Christmas album playing softly in the background, the atmosphere really was magical.

To start we were offered a selection of loose teas which were poured into the most delicate fine bone china tea cups our first part of our afternoon tea was brought to our table, a beautiful stand covered with mini brioche with turkey, cranberry and stuffing a perfect nod to a Christmas Day dinner, festive plum chutney and mature cheddar finger sandwiches, a selection of mini quiches, mini warmed Yorkshire puddings with Lincoln sausage and gravy, but let not forget the classic cucumber sandwich with fresh mint, if this wasn't mouth watering enough this was then followed by freshly baked warm snowstorm scones, strawberry preserve and clotted cream.

If you thought the first part of this tea couldn't get any better it did! After we had sipped more tea and took in more of the atmosphere we were brought a frosted sleigh delicately decorated with twinkling lights, sparkling tress and the infamous wardrobe dusted in icing sugar, now this isn't any normal wardrobe this was a wardrobe that opened up and inside were dainty Turkish delights just like the movie! It didn't stop there, the sleigh was covered in a white witch icy rose sponge, lemon tart covered in snow, white chocolate and coconut snowball, a warmed traditional mince pie and a mango and passionfruit mousse, this really was a real treat.

Once we have finished we walked through the wonders of Narnia and back through the wardrobe and back to reality, this afternoon tea is the most magical I have experienced, from the attention to detail, amazing flavours, the atmosphere and the service were all 5 star.
Would I recommend this afternoon tea most definitely, will I be going back and experiencing the Alice in wonderland mad hatters tea party coming soon, of course!
